What this is
The Myth Keeper produces cinematic documentaries on mythology and ancient history, published weekly. Each episode is a narrated long-form video, with short-form cuts distributed across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.
How we work
Every episode is researched from museum and university sources before a word is written. We use the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the UCLA Encyclopedia of Egyptology, UCL Digital Egypt, and the Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures at the University of Chicago, among others. Sources are cited in every episode description.
Claims are checked against those primary sources before production, and again against the finished script before narration is recorded. Where scholars genuinely disagree, we say so on screen rather than pick the tidier version. If we get something wrong, we correct it publicly and pin the correction.
The research behind each episode is published in full, including the points where the evidence is thinner than the popular retelling suggests and the claims we caught in our own scripts before recording. Read the research notes.

If you find an error in an episode, leave a comment on the video or write to us. Substantiated corrections are pinned on the episode they concern.
